Playing around with illustration I created this deep water void. Depending on the colours used, the illustration could interpret different meanings. I wanted to experiment with the laser cutter on campus to finish my physical design, but ran out of time source so many shades of blue!
Alternately I want to create the same layered design using Beehives as the main expression.
Below are pictures of how the calendar would work, each layer is printed and laser cut underneath the next, nestling a 3D design within 2D.
